Selaginella is a genus of plants commonly known as 'spikemosses' or 'selaginellas.' These plants belong to the family Selaginellaceae and are a group of ancient, non-flowering vascular plants. Selaginella species are primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions around the world, although some can also be found in temperate climates.
It is an excellent starter plant, comfortably tolerating lower light levels, being unlikely to be overwatered, and demonstrating overall toughness. This makes it not only a no-brainer for terrariums but also a great choice for a tropical indoor plant.
