Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for my dried and preserved flowers?
Dried and preserved flowers are mostly care free. The main factors that effect them are light or humidity. Direct sunlight can cause flowers to fade, and moisture can be absorbed and make certain flowers "wilt". If they end up getting dusty, we recommend canned air or a blow dryer on a low cool setting.
How long will my dried and preserved flowers last?
It truly depends on the flower. Preserved flowers do tend to last longer, as they have been set in a glycerin bath and dyed. Dried flowers last best when kept out of direct sun and moisture. As long as they are cared for properly, you should get a year or more out of the flowers and foliage.
What is the difference between dried flowers and preserved flowers?
Most of our dried flowers have been naturally dried, while some have been dyed and dried. Preserved flowers have gone through a process of preservation in a glycerin bath. The glycerin replaces the moisture that was once within the flowers and foliage, giving them a pliable feel and fresh flower look. After preservation, the materials are dyed for a natural appearance.
Do you preserve flowers?
No. We work with flowers that have been dried and preserved by large producers both national and international. While we do not preserve flowers in house, we would be happy to recreate a bouquet or arrangement with the flowers that we do carry, in some cases, incorporating flowers you may have dried from the original arrangement.
Are preserved flowers artificial?
No, they are all real flowers! Their fresh look when preserved makes it hard to believe they are real and dried.
Are your flowers pet-friendly?
As all the flowers are natural they retain their natural properties and the pet safety will depend on the individual flower. Please check the varieties you wish to buy for pet safety and feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
