Protea

Protea is a genus of shrubs and trees that grow in dry regions of the southern hemisphere. They have leathery leaves and clusters of long, narrow, tubular flowers with colorful bracts surrounding a central mass of small, tubular flowers. Proteas come in various shapes, sizes, and colors and are considered one of the oldest flowers in the world.
