Beargrass
Beargrass is an evergreen plant with rigid, grass-like leaves that can grow up to 3 ft. tall. It has a central flower stalk that rises a foot or more above the leaves . Native Americans used the leaves to make garments and baskets, and roasted the rootstock for food.
