Triteleia is a genus of 15 cormous perennials native to western North America. They have funnel-shaped flowers in umbel-like inflorescences that bloom in spring to early summer. Each flower has 3 petals, 3 petal-like tepals, 6 stamens, and a 3-lobed stigma atop a 3-chambered ovary. Triteleias grow from underground corms that last for only one year and are replaced by new corms from fall to late spring. Plants go dormant in summer after bloom.
